The James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies is pleased to welcome a new group of Visiting Fellows for the Fall 2015 semester.
The six visiting fellows, as well as a Fulbright scholar, will reside at CNS, Middlebury Institute for International Studies at Monterey, until December; the Fulbright Scholar remains with us until June. The group includes experts with diverse backgrounds representing countries including South Africa, Chile, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, Mali, and Turkey.
Through a series of lectures and other rich resources offered by MIIS, the fellows will undergo a rigorous training in WMD nonproliferation on a range of issues including the legal, political and technical aspects of nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons nonproliferation, nuclear security, regional challenges, exports controls, and disarmament policies. Each fellow will work on an independent research project and will present his/her findings in the conclusion of the program. They will have an opportunity to meet and network with MIIS faculty as well as CNS experts in Monterey, Washington, and Vienna.
