The outsourcing of flag registry operations has become an increasingly common practice among maritime administrations seeking to enhance efficiency and global reach. However, such arrangements must be governed by robust oversight frameworks to ensure continued compliance with international obligations and the protection of national interests.

This series of webinars, each 90 minutes, is designed to support government officials and maritime regulators in developing and strengthening governance mechanisms for open and outsourced registries. The sessions will address the regulatory, contractual, and operational dimensions of registry management, drawing on international best practices.
