Description
As a GRA working virtually with the CNS Washington DC office, you will acquire on-the-job training with CNS experts and other leading scholars on nonproliferation issues by contributing to databases, website publications, fact sheets, and analytical issue briefs. GRAs will have opportunities to work on critical issues involving the proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and ballistic missiles and strategies for their control. CNS’s research interests also cover WMD terrorism and space security issues. GRAs are paid on an hourly basis and typically work 10-15 hours a week. Starting wage is negotiated based on the student’s experience. The position is renewable contingent upon satisfactory academic progress and job performance.
Required Qualifications
- Located in the United States;
- Excellent writing and analysis skills;
- General knowledge of WMD nonproliferation issues;
- Knowledge of and experience in conducting scholarly research;
While not required, the following qualifications are also desirable:
- Experience conducting research in the WMD nonproliferation field;
- Familiarity with the Middle East
- Experience in scheduling large meetings, technical support for virtual meetings (Zoom, MS Teams), and producing meetings summaries.
- Familiarity with WordPress
- Science background
