OSINT Webinar: “So You Want to be an Internet Detective?”

October 29, 2021
Jeffrey Lewis and Nomsa Ndongwe

On 19 October 2021, CNS hosted a webinar with Dr. Jeffrey Lewis who spoke about what it takes to become an open-source intelligence internet sleuth by sharing his experiences on the subject and walking attendees through a geolocation exercise.

A lively discussion also touched upon his recent feature in The Economist. Open-source intelligence challenges state monopolies on information, as well as tips for aspiring internet sleuths, and the robust training and opportunities available to students or individuals with an interest in the field, at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
