Nuclear Disarmament, Non-proliferation, and Energy: Fresh Ideas for the Future
The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, The Netherlands government, the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, and the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey are jointly organizing an Academic Symposium at the start of the 2015 NPT Review Conference. The symposium will take place at the UN Headquarters in New York City on April 28th.
The main purpose of this event is to present and discuss worldwide research related to the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty and to learn from early-career scholars about present and future challenges and opportunities for the treaty. The symposium, which will include panel discussions and poster presentations, also aims to strengthen future decision making related to the NPT.
Both delegates to the Review Conference and others who are interested, including members of the press, are invited to attend.
