The meeting featured keynote presentations by Under-Secretary of State Bonnie Jenkins, former Senator Sam Nunn, CTBTO Executive Secretary Robert Floyd, and a conversation with the President of the Tenth NPT Review Conference Gustavo Zlauvinen.

Themes

Council discussions focused on three major themes:

1. “Advances in the Biosciences and Their Implications for International Peace and Security”
2. “The Future of Nuclear Arms Control”
3. “Avoiding Regional Conflict and Preserving Existing Restraints in the Middle East and Asia”

The sessions were all very lively and were appreciated by the members of the CNS International Advisory Council.
