Dr. Stephen Herzog, CNS Professor of the Practice, appeared on “The Arms Control Primer” podcast, a production of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. Dr. Herzog, former IAEA Director General Dr. Hans Blix, and host Dr. Alex Bollfrass covered the history of Iraq’s secretive nuclear ambitions under Saddam Hussein. This case revealed both the strengths and limits of global nuclear nonproliferation efforts, alongside important lessons for the future of verification.
