Background
Daniel Horner is the co-editor of the Nonproliferation Review, CNS’s peer-reviewed journal. He previously was editor in chief of Arms Control Today and a senior editor for Platts Nuclear Group, which publishes NuclearFuel, Nucleonics Week, and Inside NRC. His reporting for Platts and Arms Control Today covered a range of topics that included the US-India nuclear deal, the global phaseout of highly enriched uranium in civilian programs, and the effort to destroy Syrian chemical weapons. Before joining CNS in 2021, Dan worked for five years as a freelance editor and writer. Among his clients were the Nuclear Threat Initiative, the US Institute of Peace, the Inter-American Dialogue, and Child Steps International.
Education
Dan holds a master’s degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University.
