Background

AJ Byambasaikhan is a Research Assistant and Office Manager at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies DC office. AJ speaks Mandarin, Korean and Mongolian, and is passionate about emerging technologies and international trade policies. She is interested in global approaches to arms control and non-proliferation, with a focus on semiconductors, export controls and foreign security.

Education

AJ graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics and Economics (IPE). She has taken Advanced Chinese at Middlebury Language Schools and has studied at the National Taiwan University for one semester. She took part in the Middlebury-led field research trip to Vietnam and Thailand to study Chinese investment into the Southeast Asian Regional Transmission Grid.
