Yanliang Pan is a Research Associate at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies and, in addition to his research activities, coordinates the Center’s engagement with Chinese counterparts on issues related to nuclear nonproliferation and peaceful uses. His research has focused on the Russian and Chinese nuclear industries as well as on issues related to the nuclear fuel cycle and supply security. His ongoing research deals with the intersection between artificial intelligence and the nuclear agenda across safety, security, nonproliferation, research, and education. Yanliang holds a BSc/MA degree in Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies from Georgetown University and a MA degree in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
